Trout River Falls is a beautiful trout fishing country lodge, set amongst the valleys of the misty Steenkampsberg Mountains in Mpumalanga. There are 3 dams, as well as a river brimming with trout and good for fishing. Lovely benches everywhere to sit and view the dams and the awe-inspiring mountains. A magnificent waterfall with swimmable pool at the bottom entices you relax and enjoy the outdoors.

- Pet friendly upon request. Please note: there is a resident dog, who is very friendly and socialised. Not fenced. There are baboons, so keep that in mind if considering bringing your pet.

Accommodation Details:
There are 8 x 2 sleeper chalets, each with en-suite bathrooms. The chalets are elegantly decorated to provide comfort and relaxation. Each chalet is twin bedded (can be made into a double) with bathrooms en suite. All bathrooms have a bath, shower and underfloor heating.
There is a small open plan lounge, all of them are fully equipped including satellite TV, fireplace, mini-bar, coffee and tea and private braai facilities adjoining each chalet.
The couch can accommodate one child. There is a small kitchenette with microwave, electric frying pan, toaster and a bar fridge (no stove/oven).
On arrival, there will be sachets of coffee, tea, sugar, cremora and two rusks. This will not be replenished. Each unit has a balcony overlooking the poplar trees. Chalets are serviced daily to ensure that guests are completely rested upon returning home.
Accommodation is ideally suited for 2 adults per room.

For non-fishing guests there is an abundance of scenery, birdlife, indigenous forest and wildflowers, mountain hiking trails or enjoy a picnic at our romantic waterfall.
Trout River Falls consists of 5 natural well stocked natural feeding trout dams and a 2km river stretch of the Dorpsriver that will provide excellent trout fly fishing.
We facilitate a generous re-stocking programmed to ensure that dams are constantly stocked and that our valued guests enjoy the abundance of trout available for the catch. Catch and release is promoted. Other activities include hiking and birding.
Breakfast, lunch and Dinner is available outside in the tea garden overlooking the beautiful surroundings. Dinner is served in a more formal dining room with cozy log fires. Please arrange for dinners prior to your arrival.
Light meals and refreshments are available at any time during the day and served with the compliments of their qualified waiters and distinguished chef.
