Schoonspruit Falls is a tranquil farm on the Slaaihoek road, just outside of eNtokozweni (Machadodorp). The farm has a lodge and trout fishing cottage. The cottage is set within the grounds of the main lodge right on the water’s edge of the very large dam. The dam is stocked with rainbow trout, and guests can enjoy trout fishing, boating, swimming and nature walks on the farm. There is a zip-line going over the water for the more adventurous visitor.
The main lodge sleeps 10 with a bunk room which sleeps an additional 5; and the cottage can accommodate 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. The house and cottage can be rented separately.
Lodge: from R5,750 per night (sleeps 15).
Cottage: from R900 per night (sleeps 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children).
Farm house:
This spacious house comprises 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms of which 2 are en-suite. The house has a large open-plan kitchen and lounge area. The en-suite bedrooms have king-sized beds.
The two main bedrooms are situated on either end of the house. All bedrooms have beautiful views of the dam. The other three bedrooms all have a separate bathroom (each), with bath and shower. There are extra blankets available in all the bedrooms in winter. The loft bedroom has 2 bunk beds and 1 three quarter bed and share a downstairs bathroom.
There is a well equipped, large open plan kitchen, a beautiful lounge and luxurious dining room with a fireplace. Comfortable couches in a small cosy TV lounge (dstv upon request) also has a fireplace.
Sliding doors from lounge and dining room lead onto a deep patio looking out on the dam.
The patio has 10 seater table with comfortable chairs where guests can enjoy 180 degree views of the dam and farm . The grounds have hosted many a game of family cricket , football, rounders and volley ball. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own ball sports. There is a built in braai as well as a Weber available.

The cottage:
Schoonspruit Falls Trout Cottage can accommodate 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children, and comprises 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, and a kitchenette, dining and living area. The bedroom contains a queen-size bed. The bathroom contains a bath and a shower, a toilet and a washbasin.
The kitchenette is equipped with a fridge, stove and oven, microwave, and cutlery and crockery. There is a round 4-seater dining table and chairs. The lounge contains comfortable seating, a sleeper couch that can accommodate 1 adult or 2 children, and a cosy fireplace.
Outside, there is a lovely covered stoep with seating and a kettle braai, where you can enjoy your morning coffee while soaking in the view. There is also a fire pit in front of the cottage with a seating area.
