Morgenzon Farmhas 6 magnificent dams, beautiful hiking or Mountain Biking trails, game, picnic areas, waterfall and comfortable accommodation.
The farm features the highest point in the area, with a beacon marking it – this was used by the Boers to spy on the Anglo forces in the Boer Wars. A picnic site has been set up on this hill for wonderful lazy afternoons.
The main house has 2 twin bedrooms, with one shared bathroom, and a master ensuite bedroom.
A large open plan lounge with fireplace (wood provided), and a second lounge area opening onto the wide veranda, ensure plenty of seating and lounging space. A 12 seater dining table is ideal for family meals, with a Morso type stove ensuring warmth.
The farm style kitchen features a pizza oven, gas hob, as well as 2 electric ovens and plenty of cutlery, crockery, pots, pans, etc
Just outside the house is a converted stone barn, with 3 en-suite bedrooms, all with fireplaces. Two are double bed rooms, the third has 2 single beds.
Outside brick/stone braai looks over the top dam, and the horses will come to visit you. Regular sitings of franklin and small buck in the garden are common. The farm itself is well stocked with game – wildebeest, zebra, gemsbok and others. Excellent fishing, catch and release only with barbless hooks – please observe fishing rules in the house. Please do not keep fish.
The house is serviced on a daily basis, at R150/day, please pay Rachel directly.
