Situated approximately 40 meters from the water’s edge of both the dams. There is a jetty right in front of the unit leading to the big dam, ideal for the person who loves fly-fishing. The tame fallow deer wander between the units and even though they are not indigenous to South Africa, the beautiful grassland surroundings are what they call home.

LAST CAST is the newest addition to the Blue Crane Farm Accommodation. It is situated at the farther side of the entrance to all the other units, hence the name, LAST CAST.
Close to the wetland area, you will be able to not only see the birds building their nests but wake up to the sounds of the various bird calls. Closer to nature you cannot get.

We had the most wonderful stay. Blue Crane Farm was just what I wanted – somewhere picturesque and secluded. The house itself was pristine. It was so clean, we felt like it had just been built, and that we were the only guests ever to have stayed there. Clean and neat, and thoughtfully furnished and decorated. I started planning our next trip there the moment we arrived.
