African Leaves: Imagine pristine countryside, excellent stream and dam flyfishing and hiking to your very own picnic spot at the foot of a Highveld waterfall. African Leaves Trout Lodge is privately situated on a trout farm in the 750ha Zuikerboschhoek Conservancy, 23km from Dullstroom.
A short hiking trail will take you to the splendid waterfall along mountain paths.
This is a pet friendly destination, where older or small, house-trained dogs with own bedding are allowed if pre-arranged – no animals on bed or furniture please. Keep dogs under control around peacock and ducks. Houses are serviced daily on request of guest as to times, etc.
Oak house
Out of Africa elegance – picture a spacious, farmstyle dwelling with peacock in the garden and large oak tree facing a trout dam. Oak house is the ideal group party venue offering elegance and comfort with additional industrial kitchen for functions, lounge (with TV), dining room, bar, wine cellar, lapa under the oak and verandah with view.
Four and ‘n half bedrooms with four bathrooms sleep 8 adults and 1 child as follows: two rooms with queen size beds, one with adjacent sleeper couch for children; two rooms with twin/ 3/4 beds. Three shower bathrooms and one full bathroom with spa bath.
Quality linen and towels provided. For larger functions, the nearby Silo house (approx 200m away) with 3 en suite bedrooms could be incorporated.

Silo House
Can sleep 6 adults. Three en-suite bedrooms, one with luring outside shower, comfortably accommodate 6 guests. Bedrooms are spaced for good privacy.
Whowever wins the toss for the main bedroom, gets a fireplace in the room. The spacious lounge with sociable “Hemel en Aarde” bar, shares a hearth with the adjacent dining room and kitchen. The living area opens onto a veranda with well equipped built-in braai, all overlooking a trout dam and impressive mountain range. There is a well-stocked kitchen, and you’ve got a party in the making with mingling and catering space galore.
Silo Lodge offers the following: fully furnished/equipped kitchen with fridge/ freezer, stove and microwave. Spacious dining room seating for six. Comfortable living room with indoor bar area.
Three en-suite bedrooms, two with double beds and one with twin beds (romantic main bedroom with fireplace). Elegant bathrooms, one with outdoor shower. Patio with built in braai, overlooking trout dam and mountain range.
