Stonecutters is a 4 Star graded Self-Catering Lodge situated between Dullstroom and Lydenburg. The scenic property is surrounded by mountains and has two well stocked trout fishing dams and 3 kms of free-flowing river supporting wild and stocked Rainbow Trout. Guests may dine at Stone Manor where breakfast and dinners are available.

Stone Cottage

Stone Cottage is an ideal family cottage for mom, dad and 2 children. The luxury semi-detached house has one large master bedroom en-suite and a lounge with sleeper facilities – a double pull out couch and a single day-bed, plus an extra bathroom. This impressive open plan lounge area has a high rafted ceiling, a fireplace, full DStv and a well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher. The cottage is positioned on the hillside, a few minutes’ walk from the dams. There are 2 covered patios with braai facilities and stunning views over the mountains. (Firewood available at an additional cost).

Fishing is from 2 dams and 3 kilometers of river, all well-stocked. There is no charge for catch and release but fish that are taken are charged for per kg – please enquire with either Dullstroom Accommodation, or on the farm itself as to current rates. Rod hire per week-end is also available, as well as tuition from a local guide on a gratuity basis charged per hour.

Trout House

Trout House is ideally located next to the trout dams with lawns down to the water. The luxurious and private double story house sleeps seven guests in three bedrooms, all with under carpet heating. These rooms are en-suite, one with a queen bed, one with twin beds and one with 3 singles. Children are welcome in Trout House. (An extra mattress and bedding can be arranged at a slight additional cost.) The two downstairs bathrooms (shower only) have wheel-chair access. The elegant lounge has slate flooring, dining area for 6 – 8 people and a fireplace. (Firewood is available to purchase).

The well-appointed open plan kitchen has granite tops, oven, gas hob, microwave, large fridge/freezer and dishwasher. All crockery and cutlery is supplied. Hotel amenities (soaps etc.) are supplied. The adjacent thatched boma with a bonfire pit and braai area is a great spot for outdoor meals, seating up to 10 people.

The Cobbles Studios

The Cobbles Studios are luxury self-catering studios. There are six en-suite (shower only) studios each sleeping two adults. Accommodation is of the highest standard, stylishly furnished with king or twin beds and the décor has a touch of Africa.

Each studio has a kitchenette for self-catering, a shower-only bathroom and cozy under-carpet heating for chilly winter nights.

DStv (selected channels) is provided. The studios have private covered wooden decks with comfortable seating and gas braai/barbeques. Hotel amenities (soaps etc) are supplied.

Meals are available, including breakfast or braai baskets sent to your accommodation. Book dinner in our restaurant in advance to avoid disappointment!

Children under 12 are not accommodated in Cobbles but are welcome in our family houses, Stone Cottage and Trout House.
