So you thought you knew Wallis Simpson?

There’s far more to Wallis Simpson that you’ve read about in the media. The woman who swept Britain’s King Edward VIII off his feet (and off his throne) and, most importantly, inspired our restaurant in Dullstroom, was quite unlike the character she’s made out to be. By most accounts she was charming, intelligent, elegant and extremely likable.

Join us at Mrs Simpson’s, Dullstroom, to find out more about the real Wallis Simpson with journalist and author Anna Pasternak, whose latest book, Untitled, The Real Wallis Simpson, paints an altogether different picture of the woman you thought you knew all about. Anna will present a talk on the content of the book and her experiences while researching it. Books will also be on sale, which Anna will sign and personalise at the event.

Wednesday 11 September 2019 – 4:45 for 5pm
