Willow Weir Cottage is one of the original stone houses on the Walkersons Estate, that has been lovingly and tastefully refurbished into a magnificent 5 bedroom luxury house. It is situated right on a weir on the Lunsklip river, that runs through the Estate, and you can watch a family of otters at play early mornings and evenings.

The house has 5 bedrooms and bathrooms, one bathroom being off-suite, the other 4 all en-suite. The kitchen is extremely well equipped for preparation of a simple cup of coffee to a 5 course gourmet meal. The house is also serviced daily by Estah, so you just need to relax and enjoy your stay!

With recent Eskom problems, the owners have now installed a generator for the house to ensure that guests are not inconvenienced. This will activate automatically should the power go off, and is connected to all lights, tv and fridge in the main house.

Walkersons has implemented a permit system for fishing. River fishing is only allowed if you have a Permit from the Department of Fisheries, the Walkersons permit is not valid for river fishing.

You will not be allowed to fish on the Walkersons waters unless you have, on your person, the fishing permit for the house you are staying at.  Other rules associated with the permit: catch and release preferred, max two per rod, fish must be consumed on the property, no fish allowed to be transported off the property. Guests caught transporting fish off the property will be charged with poaching and fined.

Willow Weir has been allocated 5 fishing permits. Esther will give the permits to guests and collect them. Non return of the permit will cost R700 to replace. Mountain Biking; Walking; Birding; Picnics; Hikes; Game Viewing
