Hawksmist House

Set on an expansive lawn the beautifully restored old farmhouse overlooks the large trout dam. Hawks Mist is about 45km from Dullstroom, near Machadodorp.

Cosy lounge with Satellite TV and fireplace and separate dining area. Firewood is provided. The large patio with outdoor braai facilities overlooks the lawns to dams. The fully equipped large kitchen with coal stove, microwave, electric kettle, electric toaster and electric coffee machine caters to all guests needs. All linen and crockery are supplied. There is also a maid available if needed.

The bedrooms are as follow:
1 x Queen size bed with en-suite with bath, shower and toilet.
1 x Double bed with en-suite with shower and toilet.
1 x 4 Single beds.
1 x 2 Single beds.
Three bathrooms (2 en-suite) and one separate with toilet and bath.

Fishing:  Please enter catch in the fishing logbook and settle in cash with the staff on the premises. Fishing catch & release. If guests keep the fish, there is a price per/kg (Max 2 fish per rod per weekend). There are 3 dams available for fishing. Natural game can be seen on the property as well as abundant bird life. Please note this is a Fly-fishing area and no spinners or lures are permitted. Catch and release policy – appreciated.

Hawksmist Cottage

This is an elegant farm cottage in a beautiful private setting overlooking a trout dam. It is approximately 400 m away from the larger farm style lodge with another large dam.

The Cottage offers two en suite bedrooms: double and twin. Lounge with fireplace, fully equipped kitchen with all modcons. Back patio with braai; Large veranda with built-in braai and good view, close to one of two trout dams (6,5 ha plus 0,5 ha)
